Specialising in figure compositions, portraits and still life, Drysdale's interest lies in 'capturing a moment in time'. Through realism and composition, he creates narrative images based on modern day themes and events while drawing inspiration from masters such as Caravaggio, Bacon and Freud. Drysdale graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1987 and since then has taught art, design and continuing education programmes across Glasgow and North Lanarkshire.
