Jane is a painter from Shropshire who has had a long career in the creative arts.

Jane is a painter living and working from rural Shropshire while originally from North

Staffordshire. She studied textiles and got her degree in Textile Design from

Manchester Polytechnic. She has since formed a long and successful career in the creative arts as a full-time professional artist, freelancer, and educator.

Her Shropshire studio is situated atop a house from 1710, built by Queen Anne, witha lot of character and beautiful light that streams in through the windows. Through these windows, she is surrounded by the beautiful Shropshire Hills and these panoramic views sparks inspiration and creativity.

Having also lived in Edinburgh, the Scottish Borders, York, Leicester and Fife there have been many opportunities for Jane to explore the British Isles. She has been especially curious about places at extreme coastal edges notably the Outer Hebrides and Cornwall. On holiday abroad, Greek islands are a firm favourite.

Alongside exhibiting widely, her paintings are held in private collections throughout the world including the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Singapore and Europe. Her paintings can also be found in UK hospitals bought by the organisation Paintings in Hospital.
