Hanna Kaciniel's "Prison Break" is a vibrant and playful print that celebrates the nostalgic joy of confectionery. This 40 x 40 cm work depicts an assortment of colourful sweets—blue raspberry drops, pink and yellow liquorice allsorts, and striped black and white mints—spilling from an overturned glass jar. Kaciniel demonstrates exceptional technical skill in rendering the translucent quality of the glass container against the opaque, sugar-dusted surface of the sweets. The composition cleverly juxtaposes geometric forms with organic shapes, while the bold palette of blues, pinks, yellows, and oranges creates a sense of childlike delight and abundance. The title suggests a humorous narrative—these treats have escaped their confines, ready to be enjoyed.

Nostalgic Confectionery Art
The print transforms an everyday subject into something both visually striking and emotionally resonant. When displayed, "Prison Break" brings a splash of colour and whimsy to any environment, creating an immediate focal point that sparks conversation and evokes personal memories. The square format makes it versatile for various hanging arrangements, whether as a standalone piece in a kitchen or dining area, or as part of a curated gallery wall. Kaciniel's attention to detail rewards close inspection, making this print equally effective viewed from across a room or appreciated up close, where the intricate textures and reflective surfaces reveal the artist's careful observation and technical precision.
