Born and raised in London, Gail has exhibited both nationally and internationally. Through research and influences taken from literature, poetry, classical music and religious texts, Gail's practice often references ancient symbolism explored through mythological concepts, creating trajectories to ponder the limitless and boundless.

Gail obtained her BA(Hons) in Photography from The London College of Printing and went on to complete Masters degrees in Photography and Fine Art from The University of Westminster and Central St Martins respectively. She also studied painting with Hermann Nitsch in Austria and assisted the late photographer Fay Godwin. In 1999, Gail won the Eastern Arts Award and was nominated for the Beck's Futures art prize in 2003. She was also a guest student at The Kunst Academy Dusseldorf, she also works as a lecturer in London. Gail is proud to have been selected to show her work with the European Cultural Centre at the Venice Art Biennale 2024.
