Claire is a Scottish aritst and freelance creative producer.
Claire Beattie is a Scottish artist now based in East Lothian after living and working in the Scottish Borders for nearly 20 years. Claire graduated with an MA in Fine Art from the University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh College of Art with a distinction in painting in 1997 and has shown her paintings professionally since 2005. Her work is in many private collections in the UK and worldwide, and has been shown several times at the Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Glasgow Institute. Claire is a member of the Society of Scottish Artists.
Alongside her studio practice Claire is an experienced freelance creative producer and works collaboratively with communities on place and heritage inspired projects. Recent project partners include National Galleries of Scotland, Hugo Burge Foundation, North East Museums, The Maltings (Berwick) Trust, Bernat Klein Foundation, Edinburgh College of Art, Future Arts Centres and the Northern Centre of Photography at the University of Sunderland.
