Helena is a full time artist, immessing herself in the Scottish highland landscape where she lives and works.

Helena Barnes grew up in Northumberland, where she studied art from a young age. After studying Fine Art and Art History at Kingston School of Art and graduating in 2015, she began her own career as an art teacher in inner-city Bristol.

Now a full-time artist living in the Scottish Highlands, Barnes spends her time running up mountains, through bogs, and along rivers in an effort to absorb the wild landscape she has chosen to call home with her husband and two small children. She is also furthering her education in fine art by working towards an MA in Fine Art from Falmouth School of Art.

Her work exists in private collections around the world.
