    About Lesley

    Lesley Briggs, Founder and Director

    Graystone Gallery is owned and managed by Lesley Briggs. After a long career as well-respected fashion consultant, Lesley embarked on her own art journey in 2017.

     

    Since then, she's studied extensively, completing Christie's Art Business Master Class and an MA in History of Art. Lesley went on to assist the Chief Archivist at the Whitechapel Gallery, London. 

     

    After moving to Edinburgh in 2021, she joined Colinton Arts as Gallery Manager, establishing the business and curating a series of successful exhibitions. She is also a Patron of the Royal Scottish Academy of Art and Architecture.

     

    Now she's taken her passion for art and artists and set up her first wholly owned gallery, supported by her husband and co-founder Rob.

    About Rob

    Rob Briggs, Founder and Director

    Together with Lesley, Rob sets the strategic direction for Graystone Gallery and oversees marketing, communications and operations for the business. 

     

    He also runs Graystone Communications, a global change management and communications consultancy. Rob holds Masters' degrees in Corporate Communications, Occupational Psychology and Creative Writing as well as a BA (Hons)  in Philosophy from the University of Reading. He is passionate about the creative arts and is working on his first novel. 

     

    Rob is a Patron of the Royal Scottish Academy of Art and Architecture, a Past Regional Chair of the International Association of Business Communicators, a Fellow of the Centre for Strategic Communications Excellence and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.

    About Tamsin

    Tamsin Marshall, Gallery Assistant
    Tamsin supports Lesley and Rob with the administration and day-to-day running of the gallery.
     
    Tamsin obtained her MA in History of Art with Fine Art from the University of Edinburgh, graduating in 2024. While studying, she worked as a Collection Assistant with a national rare books dealership and held a number of assistant positions with National Galleries of Scotland, Talbot Rice Gallery and City Art Centre in Edinburgh. 

    She has a passion for galleries and the creative sector, and is dedicated to making art accessible while supporting the growth of cultural institutions.
