Artist Submissions
How can I submit my work for consideration?
We welcome submissions from talented contemporary artists, particularly those working within the Scottish art scene. Please email your portfolio to lesley@graystonegallery.com along with a brief artist statement and CV. Include 8-10 high-quality images of your recent work, with details about medium, dimensions, and year created. Please note that we cannot accept physical submissions or portfolios delivered in person.
What should I include in my portfolio submission?
Your submission should include 8-10 high-resolution digital images of your strongest recent work, showing consistency in quality and artistic vision. Include an artist statement (300-500 words) explaining your artistic practice, inspiration, and creative process. Attach a current CV highlighting your artistic education, exhibitions, awards, and professional experience. Please also provide dimensions, medium, and creation year for each piece, along with whether works are available for representation.
Do you accept submissions from artists outside Scotland?
While Graystone Gallery represents many Scottish artists, we also consider exceptional work by artists from other locations.
How long does the review process take?
We aim to review all submissions within 4-6 weeks of receipt. Due to the volume of submissions we receive, we can only respond to artists whose work we wish to consider further for potential representation. If you haven't heard from us within 8 weeks, please assume that your submission was not successful on this occasion. We encourage artists to continue developing their practice and consider resubmitting in the future.
Do you offer portfolio reviews or feedback sessions?
Unfortunately we do not currently offer portfolio reviews or feedback sessions.
