Graystone Gallery is one of Edinburgh’s newest fine art destinations, specialising in contemporary Scottish painting and sculpture. Located in Hamilton Place, Stockbridge, the gallery is situated close to the heart of Edinburgh’s art scene and regularly hosts a busy programme of exhibitions and events.

Since its foundation by Rob and Lesley Briggs, the Graystone Gallery team have expanded their knowledge of modern and contemporary Scottish art, offering beautiful landscapes, cityscapes and seascapes as well as outstanding abstract and semi-abstract pieces by internationally collected artists.  


Over the course of the past year, the gallery has constantly grown, developing its expertise and introducing clients and art lovers to exceptionally talented local artists. Lesley Briggs, Founder and Director


Graystone Gallery is owned and managed by Lesley Briggs. After a long career as well-respected fashion consultant, Lesley embarked on her own art journey in 2017.


Since then, she's studied extensively, completing Christie's Art Business Master Class and an MA in History of Art. Lesley went on to assist the Chief Archivist at the Whitechapel Gallery, London. 


After moving to Edinburgh in 2021, she joined Colinton Arts as Gallery Manager, establishing the business and curating a series of successful exhibitions. She is also a Patron of the Royal...

Rob Briggs, Founder and Director


Together with Lesley, Rob sets the strategic direction for Graystone Gallery and oversees marketing, communications and operations for the business. 


He also runs Graystone Communications, a global change management and communications consultancy. Rob is passionate about the creative arts and is working on his first novel. 


He is a Patron of the Royal Scottish Academy of Art and Architecture, a Past Regional Chair of the International Association of Business Communicators, and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.

We will deliver your art to you in Edinburgh free of charge.

We can also arrange for national or international delivery on request, using professional art couriers.

We accept all major UK and international credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard and American Express, We can take payment in person or payment online via PayPal. Unfortunately we cannot accept payments in cash.

Buying art is a highly personal experience. Sometimes we need to be sure we're making the right investment.

We offer a free virtual home trial service so you can see paintings in the comfort of your own home and decide if they work well for you.

Simply tell us what picture(s) you'd like to try out and send us a picture of the place you want to hang them. We'll need the dimensions of your space and that's it - we'll send you back a picture so you can try before you buy with no hassles and no obligation.
