Caroline was born and raised in North Yorkshire and before she took up painting and drawing full time, studied textiles in Winchester. After her studies, she then moved to London to begin her career as a textile designer, initially for fashion and later for furnishings and wallpaper. These desisgns created between 1974 and 2010 have been exhibited in Bath St Centre in Saltburn. Caroline now splits her time between Edinburgh, North Yorkshire and the Isle of Skye, working predominantly in oils and pastels, drawing inspiration from landscapes, wildlife and found objects.
