Lucy's distinctive collage works are inspired by her surrounding Georgian Architecture.

Lucy Jones works with a variety of media, including paint, collage, printmaking, drawing, and hot wax, to reconstruct Edinburgh's distinctive architectural features. Her unique collage pieces are heavily influenced by the surrounding Georgian architecture.

 

 

Education and Exhibitions

After graduating from Norwich School of Art, Lucy returned to Wales, where she exhibited in both private and public galleries. Her work has been showcased at events such as the Wales Drawing Biennale, the University of Aberystwyth, and Oriel 31 in Newtown, where she won their annual Open award twice.

 

 

Career in Scotland and Recognition

Since relocating to Scotland ten years ago, Lucy Jones has exhibited in the RSA, SSA, and RSW Opens. She was also Artist in Residence for the StAnza Poetry Festival in St Andrews, featured in the BBC documentary Newtown, and served as artist in residence at the Kimpton Hotel Edinburgh during COP26. Frequently commissioned for private work-often with a waitlist-Lucy has also completed corporate projects for companies such as DJ Alexander, KPMG, and Rathbones Investment Management's Edinburgh offices. In addition, she regularly exhibits with several commercial galleries in Edinburgh.
