Alison is an award winning aritst Irish who has her work featured in many private and public collections.
Originally from Northern Ireland, Alison has lived for many years in Edinburgh, her adopted home. Her work is in collections throughout the UK, Ireland and further afield -including that of comedian Michael McIntyre. Alison was pleased to be awarded the Debra Manifold Prize for the most innovative use of the medium at the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour's annual exhibition in London (March 24). Her work is selected regularly for the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour (RSW), including Jan 25 and Royal Scottish Academy (RSA) annual exhibitions. She was delighted to exhibit in the Paisley Arts Institute's 136 Annual Exhibition earlier this year.
She has had three solo shows including a sell-out exhibition, Breathing Space in Enniskillen as well as several two person shows.
Alison was awarded the Higher Bridges Prize - a residency at the inspirational Tyrone Guthrie Centre, where artists from all disciplines work alongside each other, enabling a rich cross-fertilization of ideas as well as giving the time and space to think and create.
