Zanna travels across the country painting en plein air.
Zanna was born in the South of England but has spent her adult life living and working in Scotland, and is now based in rural Perthshire where she maintains a studio and runs The Watermill Gallery. Zanna studied at the Winchester School of Art, the University of Edinburgh, Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, and the Leith School of Art. After graduating, she worked in various art galleries before committing full-time to painting and gallery management. She travels widely across the country most often West and her work is often done ‘en plein air’ on large boards in acrylic and oil, often beginning as ink drawings with pastel. Her work is known for its rich expressive energy, immediacy and emotional depth.
