Jaeeun Kim is a London-based ceramic artist whose practice combines Korean ceramic traditions with contemporary narrative expression and a strong interest in the therapeutic potential of clay. She holds an M.A. in Ceramic Art from Kyunghee University, Korea, and an M.A. in Applied Psychology (Therapies) from Salford University, UK.
Her ceramics have been widely exhibited in the UK and Korea, including major events such as Ceramic Art London, York Ceramics Fair, Oxford Ceramic Fair, Potfest, and Art in Clay, alongside solo shows at Insa Art Centre (Seoul) and Sheen Pottery Gallery (London).
Her work has also featured in institutional and curated exhibitions, including the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, and OXO Tower Wharf, London. Kim has received multiple awards, including finalist recognition and the Online Vote Prize at Handmade in Britain: Identity (2019), as well as several national ceramic art prizes in Korea. In 2023 she was elected a member of the Craft Potters Association (UK).
Alongside her studio practice, Kim has built a distinguished career as an educator. She was Head of Pottery at Malden Centre in London and has previously lectured at Kyunghee University, as well as leading community and therapeutic pottery programmes in Korea. Her work reflects a commitment to both artistic excellence and the social and healing value of clay.
