Born in Scotland, Penelope trained at Edinburgh College of Art gaining a BA (Hons) degree in Drawing & Painting. She lived in Amsterdam and Italy followed by a decade in London before returning to her native Scotland. Her early work was influenced by travels to India, Nepal and Morocco but since returning to Scotland her work has been more landscape based. Penelope teaches painting classes in Scotland and London as well as hosting painting holidays in Italy, France and Spain.
