Sarah Knox is a well-known painter based in Edinburgh. Her artwork focuses on wild places, and the balance between land and sea, presence and erosion and life at the edge.
Sarah sketches on location before refining her ideas in her local studio at Patriothall in Stockbridge. Her paintings are inspired by the spirit of place, and she freely explores the poetry of dissolving form, atmosphere and light. Sarah is a recent VACMA award-winning artist 23-25 and exhibits widely, as well as taking commissions. From 2018 -2025 she was delighted to be selected to represent Scotland in the International watercolour exhibition and convention Fabriano en Acquarello, Italy.
