In the years following her fine art education at University of the Arts, London, Camberwell College of Arts & Design, London, Northumberland College, Ashington, and the Royal Drawing School, her career set off making artwork to a brief, often for small businesses and in flm
and television. In the fve years after that, she made work almost exclusively for private commissions. Lacaille moved to Edinburgh in 2016 in order to return to painting and to develop her own practice. Since moving to Edinburgh, she has established her studio, rediscovered the subjects that most excite and inspire her, and
continues to work on expanding her skills and confdence with paint.
