Anna is a British Russian painter whose work combines elements of process-led abstract and figurative art. Her practice is informed by the philosophy of Derrida, particularly his ideas about the role of memory in shaping our perception of reality.
Apart from academic drawing and painting she studied linguistics, philosophy, and psychology. Aged 21 she moved to London, where she graduated from Central St Martins, where she now lives and works.
While studying at Saint Martins, Anna began combining her training in academic painting with the freedom of abstraction. The result is a body of work that documents her increasing confidence in her mark-making and style. Her paintings are sold internationally and can be found in private collections worldwide.
