Ellis draws direct inspiration from the environment around her in the Isle of Skye
Ellis graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in Dundee with a master's degree of fine art in 2015. Since graduating, she has spent time living and teaching in Iceland. Additionally, she has taken part in numerous art residences around the world, most notably being one of ten artists worldwide to be selected for the annual Arctic Circle Expedition which involved circumnavigating the archipelago of Svalbard in the High Arctic in 2022.
For the last 7 years, Ellis has worked as a full-time artist. She exhibits her paintings widely and has numerous gallery representations which show her work throughout the year. Ellis lives and works from her home studio on the Isle of Skye where she draws direct inspiration from the environment around her.
